The second edition of Jozi on Fire was held last week Wednesday at Openroom Productions, organised by Tecla Ciolfi of Texx and the City fame, the first event was something really special to witness and so was the second. Lacey May and Planet Joy performed this time around… been mad busy so I’m just going to post the shots on Lacey May for the moment.

I was lucky enough to join the guys from Gangs of Ballet in studio and shoot a few photographs of them working on and recording their debut full length release at Openroom studios with Darryl Torr. If you follow me on facespace or twitter you will know that I am really excited about this record. The guys are super talented and I really hope this record get them the recognition the deserve. They currently have an EP out which is available at gigs or alternatively on iTunes.

If you have not yet been for one of the Couching Sessions at Openroom Studios you NEED to get yourself to one. A small intimate show (about 35 guests) and good bands and the best auditory experience… as you would expect from Openroom Studios. The Plastics played the second of the Couching Session series last Thursday and it was good to see the guys doing something very different to what I’ve seen before… Acoustic, intimate, and just really really good. I shot a few photos on the night… and these are those photos. Enjoy.
